raemus's music explores the relationship between composer and automated composition system. Using personal software created in Max/MSP, tendencies are determined, but musical details are decided by the system in a realtime improvisation. Sp*m Filt_er are a series of works that explore more melodic and harmonic relationships than previous works. Several automated “players" explore similar material in different ways. Titles are taken from a series of spam received in winter 2003/2004.

Currently residing in Vancouver, Canada, raemus’s music has also been released on kolorform records, 2063, and stasisfield

wow.. those seem like big mp3s for only 44 min playing time. how are they encoded?
